Wolds Produce was established on the chalky soils of the Yorkshire Wolds an area well known for it’s quality seed and ware potatoes. The Company has grown significantly since its concept in 2004 and now with an annual turnover exceeding £5 million has recently relocated to larger premises on the old airfield at Pocklington.
With our commitment to growing seed potatoes Wolds Produce encompasses all stages of the potato crop from variety development to contracting seed and ware production for both prepack and processing.
Our People :
The business is led by a board of 3 directors, all of whom have an equal share holding. Two of the shareholder directors, Simon Tootell & Chris Cummins play an active part in the day to day running of the business. The third director Simon Foster has a farming business on the Yorkshire Wolds.
In addition to the above the Company employs 2 full time staff, office administrator Jean Benton and Graham Bennett who joined the business in August 2008 as Trading Manager. The business also has a very close association with Ian Snowdon who for many years his name has been synonymous with quality Yorkshire seed.
